Rules of the Road is a wonderful tool for novice drivers. Seven instruction sections cover driving basics, city and residential driving, highway driving, the driver exam, safety tips, hazardous conditions, and drug and alcohol awareness. Each segment is comprehensive and readily understandable. An appropriately diverse group of young actors and actresses present driving instruction in a good-humored, informative manner. Examples of the wrong things to do as well as the correct things are provided. There is, of course, the buffoonish, know-it-all father whose driving is not what is should be and whose instruction is suspect. The slick kid who knows everything is shown taking his driver’s test, revealing that he needs much more practice. Additional features on the DVD include a section on basic auto maintenance and road signs. The State-to-State Driving Requirements index makes the DVD extremely useful. The use of 3-D illustrations helps to ensure that student drivers understand the concept being taught. The virtual driver puts viewers in the driver seat and checks their awareness as a driver. Corporal John Parish of the Missouri Highway Patrol provides commentary and advice about a variety of driving topics. This is bound to be extremely popular with the just-about-to-drive set. The program is accessible, informative, well-organized, and entertaining, and eminently suitable for both school and public libraries.

Everybody on television is all concerned about swine flu or pig flu or whatever they’re calling it at the moment.
I’m very extremely worried myself. I’ve compiled a list of warning signs that will help you determine if you have the swine flu or if you may be coming down with the swine flu.
1. Itchy Bottom: if your bottom (hiney) itches it may not be hemorrhoids. It may be your skin reacting negatively to the growth of a new, curly tail.
2. New Curly Tail: enough said.
3. Pink: if your skin is suddenly turning pink and it has never been pink, think flu.
4. Pug Nosedness: be careful to examine your nose daily. The transformation of your common human nose to a pig-like nose may be a first warning sign.
5. Affinity for Slop: if you are beginning to have an urge to roll around in mud and eat nasty leftovers from McDonald’s that you find in the floorboard of your vehicle, seek medical help.

She told him that her husband had developed a penchant for anal sex, and she was not sure that it was such a good idea.
‘Do you enjoy it?’ The doctor asked.’
Actually, yes, I do.
”Does it hurt you?’ he asked.
‘No. I rather like it.
”Well, then,’ the doctor continued, ‘there’s no reason that you shouldn’t practice
anal sex, if that’s what you like, so long as you take care not to get pregnant.’
The woman was mystified. ‘What? You can get pregnant from anal sex?’
‘Of course, ‘ the doctor replied. ‘Where do you think politicians and lawyers come from.’

Today, I felt nostalgic about my 80286 which I had used in the 90’s to learn C, GW Basic and play games like digger, prince of persia 1. It was one of the “fastest” processors available at that time. It had an Intel 16Mhz 80286 Processor, 1 MB ram, 5.25 Inch Teac Floppy drive, 40 Mb Seagate Harddisc and a 80287 Math co-processor. It was a “decent” machine at that time.
I used it for hours to play prince of persia 1 where you play the role of a prince to rescue a princess from the evil vizier. There were limited number of packages which could run on that machine. Turbo C 2.0 from borland and Dbase 3 plus were some softwares I had used.
What are your experiences with antique machines such as the 8086, 8088 or 80286, if you had used any?

Most people are wondering what “Du Bist deutschland” is about .It is a feel good PR campaign running in Germany. This was a feel good compaign meaning ,”you are germany” which started its mission of trying to increase optimism into people who were not so happy because of unemployment and weak economic growth of the country.
Apparently,it is a top entry in some search engines.
Du bist Deutschland is a message to every german that every one of them has a responsibility for the well-being and future of Germany.
Several people from Germany have indicated that the “Du bist Deutschland” campaign is not government created, but sponsored privately. Moreover, an outcry about the campaign in the German blogosphere is generating scornful responses from the German mainstream media, which are said to have a stake in the advertising campaign itself.
After looking at the official website of the campaign “Du bist deutschland” and the tv advertisemet ( which can be found on the web) , The advertisement sends a message to all people to move ahead and do something which is everything one can do for their own country. This campaign has hit the german blogosphere and everyone seems to discuss about it since last november.

Recently, I saw the movie Hostel – Part II [Blu-ray]
and was appalled by the violence in the movie. This movie is about the “dark side” of the human psyche and we see how one would get pleasure by tortuting or killing others.
According to this movie, the wealthy can get anything and some neurotics are interested in buying the priveleged or the wealthy for a high price and use them for something which you wouldn’t expect: for torture and killing.
The plot of the movie seems to based on real events and the dialogues can be real.
Hostel follows young Americans Paxton (Jay Hernandez), Josh (Derek Richardson), and Icelander Oli (Eythor Gudjonsson) as they embark upon a backpacking trip through various European countries.
The girls are really part of an elaborate (or plausibly elaborate) business called Elite Hunting” designed to seduce young tourists into partaking in certain activities which lead to them getting drugged up, unconscious, and relocated to a desolate, abandoned warehouse where they are chained to a chair and tortured to death by clientele. These people are really sick.
There is a significant amount of violence, nudity and visuals which are disgusting .You can also see the extent of corruption which has penetrated into our society. The writer probably wanted to create tension or fear with the visuals but it had the opposite effect. I was bored with the violence rather than thrilled. There is no thrill in this movie..and the plot is bland even though it seems realistic. Some scenes dont have any meaning such as a bunch of children beating up adults who come in their way and not comply with demands of cigarettes or chocoloates etc. Also, there is no explanation why the slovakian policemen are stopping cars and beating up drivers on the freeway.

Cutting a Fine Figure: The Art of the Jigsaw Puzzle, a 1996 exhibition at the Museum of Our National Heritage in Lexington, Massachusetts, surveyed the history of the jigsaw puzzle beginning with the first known “dissected map” from the 1760s and ending with a three-dimensional magnetic globe puzzle from 1995.
The map puzzle, a staple of childhood play, exemplifies the initial educational mission of jigsaw puzzles. Virtually every American child has tried at one time or another to assemble the puzzle map of the United States. It is relatively easy to put Florida and Texas and California into place on the edges, but making sense out of the jumble of states in the middle involves some real concentration and knowledge of the country’s geography. The idea of combining learning with play achieved general acceptance after the publication of John Locke’s Some Thoughts Concerning Education in 1693. The development of the jigsaw puzzle “to facilitate the teaching of geography” was a natural outgrowth of those ideas in the eighteenth century.
John Spilsbury, a London mapmaker and the best documented of the early puzzle makers, is recognized by most scholars as having invented the jigsaw puzzle around 1762. Competing claims for possible earlier inventors (Coven & Mortier of Amsterdam around 1740 and Dumas of France around 1760) are still being debated, but there is no doubt the first jigsaw puzzles were made from engraved maps pasted onto wood and cut into pieces along political boundaries.
Spilsbury’s trade card advertised many dissected maps, including the world, five different continents, England, Scotland, Ireland, and more than a dozen other individual countries. His puzzles were so successful that competition sprang up quickly. William Darton, a prominent London publisher of children’s books, adapted the jigsaw to teaching history by issuing the “Engravings for Teaching the Elements of English History and Chronology” in 1787. Each piece depicted a king or queen with a brief description of his or her reign. The solution required putting the monarchs in their proper order.

“Often times people call animation a genre, and that is completely wrong. It is a medium that expresses any genre,” said Brad Bird, director of “The Incredibles.” Well, in the genre of animated action feature, Bird certainly hit the mark with this Oscar-winning film. “The Incredibles” is another powerhouse from Pixar Studios, the creator of “Toy Story,” “A Bug’s Life,” “Monsters, Inc.” and “Finding Nemo.”
This action-packed comedy is an absolute scream. The story is based on the lives of superheroes trying to lead normal lives after being banished and forced into hiding. These supers have been living among us and they have been trying to fit in but it is not all that easy for the former Mr. Incredible, who insists on trying to relive the glory days. But when his chance to bounce back into his old habits appears, Mr. Incredible can’t turn away. Set out on a mission to help a scientist, Mr. Incredible ends up with a new enemy and a new villain. But what about the family? Well as every great family is, they are right behind him, fighting alongside him every step of the way Ч even if they are battling sibling rivalry and adolescent social issues.
The Incredibles is a great, fun-loving movie; and it is a treat to share with family, friends or even to keep all to yourself. Pixar’s previous animated features were rated G, but guess what? This one carries a PG because the violence is much more vivid.

I was browsing through the health department website and was surprised to find rare diseases which are caused by exposure to harmful materials such as asbestos in factories etc.
Mesothelioma is one of the deadliest diseases known to man; the average life span of an inflicted person from the time of diagnosis until death is less. Thousands of peoploe die each year from asbestos related disease including mesothelioma cancer. Asbestos exposure is the most important factor. Lung cancer Mesothelioma is one of the deadliest types of cancer which can take a life apart without us knowing it.Mesothelioma is directly associated with environmental and occupational exposure to asbestos mostly in areas of product plants and shipbuilding factories.
Mesothelial cells normally line the body cavities, including the pleura, peritoneum, pericardium, and testis. Malignancies involving mesothelial cells in these body cavities are known as malignant mesothelioma, which may be localized or diffuse. Diagnosis is difficult because the results from fluid analysis of the effusion from the tumor are not usually diagnostic. Most, but not all, pleural malignant mesothelioma is associated with asbestos exposure. An exposure of as little as one or two months can result in mesothelioma 30 or 40 years later. Most people who develop mesothelioma have worked on jobs where they inhaled asbestos particles, or have been exposed to asbestos dust and fibre in other ways, such as by washing the clothes of a family member who worked with asbestos, or by home renovation using asbestos cement products.
Lung cancer is one of the most deadliest of all health problems and prevention is better than enduring a life with cancer. Avoid working in factories where there is high exposure to harmful dust. Check your health insurance company if they support treatment for disseases such as this. Health insurance companies might avoid payout in such cases. A person migth have mesothelioma diagnosis very late in their life.. after the appearance of symptoms after many years.
Many people who develop mesothelioma due to asbestos exposure may be eligible for compensation. There are special attorneys for mesothelioma and a search for “mesothelioma lawyers” or “mesothelioma attorneys” in google might help you find a lawyer who might be able to help you.

Everyone we know had nice things to say about “Ocean’s Eleven.” We had high expectations for the DVD release of the sequel, “Ocean’s Twelve,” but were disappointed by the movie.
Three years after stealing $150 million from casino owner Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia), the “Ocean’s Eleven” crew are doing their own thing with their stolen money. Benedict tracks them down and tells them that they have to pay him back with interest or he will kill them.
The gang joins forces again and heads to Europe since they are too hot to work in America. They first plan to steal a historical document but are stopped by police detective Isabel Lahiri (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and also by a master thief Francois Toulour (Vincent Cassel).
Strange that a movie about stealing did not have a lot of stealing in it. Instead, “Ocean’s Twelve” relies on plot twists to make the movie interesting. The acting in the movie is top-notch and they do have some big names (George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and Matt Damon). But even big names and the acting cannot save the movie. There are too many characters to keep track of and you don’t feel like you know enough about them. We can’t shake the feeling that the sequel was just an excuse for these stars to hang out in Europe.
The movie has a lot of pointless freeze frames, wipes and some weird camera angles. It is shot in a lot of beautiful European locations but you will not be able to recognize them because of the camera angles.
Do not rent Ocean’s Twelve. At the end of the movie you will think that the whole movie was pointless, and you will feel just robbed.
